Red-Cooked Shrimp (Masak Merah Udang)
Ingredients
- 500 grams of shrimp
- Ground spices:
- 5 shallots
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 2 large red chilies
- 5 curly red chilies
- 20 bird’s eye chilies
- 1 glass of water
- Palm sugar and salt to taste
- Cooking oil as needed (for sautéing)
Instructions
- Sauté the ground spices until fragrant and fully cooked.
- Add the shrimp, then season with salt and palm sugar. Stir until well combined.
- Pour in the water, cover the pan, and cook until the water reduces and only the oil remains.
- Done.
